| Hanna did not want to be caught. She's a character now, though. She's also the toughest of the four Alabama kids. Nobody finishes their meal early and tries to muscle in on Hanna's. We thought we were going to have to leave her behind because of oncoming darkness. At the last minute, as we were leaving but taking one last look, we passed by her in some bushes beside the road about a 1/4 mile from where we first saw her. I slammed the car in reverse, backed up to where she had been and the chase was on. After running full tilt for almost 20 minutes through briars, she got tangled in tall weeds, allowing me to grab her. We came up together, me holding her by the scruff at arms length snapping and growling. |
